Chapter 7
In chapter seven it is a really hot day and everyone starts out together at Tom's and Daisy's house. Everyone is together and I thought right when I heard that that something hectic was going to happen. Then when Tom left the room to talk to his mistress Daisy decides to start kissing Gatsby and after that happened things just kept getting worse. After they got to Wilson's and Tom found out that he found out that Myrtle was cheating on him I thought Tom was going to flip because he lost his mistress and he basically lost his wife to Gatsby. But he held it together better then I thought he would. But Gatsby and Tom did get into an argument and a lot of secrets were let out and we found out a lot of missing puzzle pieces and we needed in the story. The biggest shocker that I saw in the story was when Myrtle got hit by a car and Tom found out it was Gatsby's car. And even a bigger shocker was when he said it was Daisy that hit Myrtle. I predict that Tom is going to blame everything on Gatsby and not believe anything Gatsby says. And I also predict that Tom will do something really bad to Gatsby and no one will get in his way. "Was Daisy driving? Yes, he said after a moment, but of course I'll say I was". (Fitzgerald 143). That was when my whole view on Daisy turned around.
Chapter 6
In chapter six
Gatsby and Tom start getting into it. And by that I mean that Tom is
starting to sketch out with Gatsby and Daisy and wants to start to investigate
on Gatsby's background. Gatsby is like a fool because he does nothing
that the other rich people do like ride horses and play polo and things like
that. So he stands out like a sore thumb because of all the new stuff he
has. And I predict that Tom will just keep on making of fun of
Gatsby because he will never be like Tom and all of his rich friends.
I feel kind of bad for Gatsby because he is trying so hard to fit in but
he just will never be like the kind of rich that Tom is. So hopefully
he realizes that he will not ever be like them and starts his own
trend and does what he likes because that is how people know him.

Chapter 5
In chapter five Gatsby is trying to see Daisy and get together with her at Nick's house and Nick agrees to invite Daisy over. So Gatsby is overly excited to see Daisy which I think is funny because he has been waiting for about five years just for this one moment with Daisy and I think he is a little bit over excited to see her. When he does meet her at Nick's house he kind of just goes in shock and they just stare at each other. It is just really awkward because they were once in love and now they are seeing each other for the first time since being in love. While it is raining and bad weather out it is really awkward between Gatsby and Daisy and I think Fitzgerald did that on purpose cause when Gatsby and Daisy start talking and being friendly with each other the weather changes back to being sunny and really nice. When Gatsby starts showing Daisy all of his riches she starts crying because she is so happy and sad. I think shes happy because the man she loves now has more then he's ever had. And I think she is sad because she wish she would of stayed with Gatsby rather than marry Tom. The funny thing with Nick in this chapter is that he just stands off to the side the whole time Gatsby and Daisy are catching up with their lives. By the end of the chapter Gatsby is really happy and excited because he made Daisy happy and he thinks he might have a chance of getting her back. I also feel that the chapter ends with Daisy having mixed feelings about Tom and Gatsby but we will find out what happens when we get farther in the book.

Chapter 4
In Chapter four Gatsby tells Nick that he was born and raised in San Francisco and that he went to Oxford for college. He also tells him that he inherited all of his money from ancestors and that is how he got so rich. Then he tells him that he was a major in the war for years. Gatsby also gets Nick to meet a new character in the story called Meyer Wolfshiem and apparently this man is a professional gambler. Which I do not think is a good thing because he sounds like a man that would do anything to get money or his own way. Plus he even said that he fixed the 1919 World Series. So I think Nick should try and stay away from Meyer Wolfshiem as much as possible. Then towards the end of the chapter we find out that Gatsby wants to have Daisy to have tea with him and Nick at Nick's house. I think that Gatsby is going to try and make a move on Daisy and try to steel her back from Tom. I would rather have Daisy be with Gatsby because she seems really unhappy with Tom and I think Gatsby truly loves her and I think that Nick sees this too. So I hope that everything works out for Gatsby and Daisy but we are going to have to wait to find out.

Chapter 1
So far the story is not too bad. A part that I thought was funny is when Tom and Daisy were trying to get Nick to talk to this girl named Jordan. Not much is told about Jordan but I am excited to learn more about her. If I was in Nick's shoes I would feel like in a awkward position eating dinner with a girl I barley know and a married couple. I feel that Tom is a rich selfish man that is just down right rotten cause for one he has a mistress and he just seems really up tight. Gatsby seems like a very interesting character and I can not wait to read more about him. I feel like I already kind of know a lot about him just by the way Nick described his house. Gatsby seems like a really fun outgoing guy. I am predicting that Gatsby and Nick will meet next chapter and that they will become pretty good friends and they will start hanging out more.
